This superb album is a new edition of Unifaun’s self-titled album. The captivating Swedish duo, comprised of the profoundly talented vocalist and instrumentalist Nad Sylvan alongside keyboard master Bonamici (Christian Thordin), serendipitously united following Nad’s encounter with the Genesis tribute act, The Musical Box, during a London performance in 2003.
Nad’s ensuing immersion in Genesis-focused online forums fortuitously exposed him to the music of Bonamici. A subsequent exchange of ideas and inspiration between the two artists ensued, ultimately paving the way for their collaborative endeavor to construct an album with new music deeply inspired by progressive rock-era Genesis.
The fruit of their creative synergy materialized in the form of the extraordinary masterpiece known as ‘Unifaun’. Initially released in 2008, this album has since achieved the status of a revered artifact, amassing an ardent cult following over the years. Furthermore, it propelled Nad Sylvan towards prominent musical ventures, first within the influential band Agents of Mercy, then as the acclaimed vocalist of Steve Hackett’s ensemble, and eventually establishing his own successful solo career.
