Abandoned Spaces is a collaborative album that brings together two artists OdNu + Ümlaut’s (Michel Mazza & Jeff Düngfelder). With meticulous attention to detail, Michel Mazza and Jeff Düngfelder craft a mesmerizing set of soundscapes. Their reductive approach to composition belies the complexity within, as jazzy vignettes combine with heavily processed instruments to create a mesmerizing ambient dreamscape. Each track seamlessly flows into the next, creating an engaging listening experience.
Drawing inspiration from their shared experiences living in both the bustling metropolis of New York City and currently in the tranquil countryside, Mazza and Düngfelder’s music transcends conventional musical boundaries. Abandoned Spaces unveils a realm of unexpected sounds and novel listening experiences. The two artists add experimental, ambient electronic, jazz, psychedelic post-rock, and microsounds into the finely crafted mix.
