Enigmatic Sound Machines, based in Montreal, Canada, is as a retro-futuristic venture, born from the shared passion for music, philosophy, and the arts between two childhood friends. On Telepathic Waves, the duo presents musical pieces that are inspired by early German electronic music and technopop toe tapping beats. In this case, early Kraftwerk and La Düsseldorf, although the major difference is that Enigmatic Sound Machines adds vocals on a regular basis.

Jeremie Arrobas, a founding member of Men Without Hats, is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, and producer. With a prolific portfolio spanning various audio, video, and visual arts projects, Jeremie’s projects include successful ventures like Le Souffleur De Sons, alongside musical aliases such as Favorite Nation and Magic Dingus Box.

Thomas Szirmay, a musicologist and researcher, brings his expertise in progressive rock, jazz-fusion, and electronic music. With a record of over 1500 reviews on platforms like Prog Archives and House of Prog, Thomas is also recognized for his linguistic proficiency in seven languages.

Their formative years at College Stanislas in Montreal, amid the artistic influence of the Woodstock-inspired rock revolution, laid the foundation for their artistic inclinations. Attending iconic concerts by bands like Genesis and Yes, they parted ways after college, reconnecting decades later during the pandemic, their friendship seamlessly reignited.

In 2023, Jeremie’s creative impulse led to the inception of new material in his home studio, driven by a desire for innovation. Acknowledging his hearing loss, he enlisted Thomas’s expertise as both a musical advisor and collaborator. Together, they crafted 13 tracks.
