Da Che Tempo È Tempo (M.P. & Records) is a new single by Italian progressive rock band Reale Accademia Di Musica. The 12-inch vinyl edition is limited to 150 transparent red copies and pressed on one side with an etched reverse.
The release features Pericle Sponzilli on vocals and guitar, Fabio Liberatori on keyboards, Elio Volpini on bass, and Walter Martino on drums. The project is dedicated to Martino, who recently died; the title track represents his final recorded musical contribution.
“Da Che Tempo È Tempo” is a 9:17 suite composed by Sponzilli, with lyrics by Massimo Altomare. The piece revisits the progressive rock approach of the band’s 1972 self-titled debut. In addition, the single includes “Favola,” a new version of the song that opened that album, performed by Sponzilli and Liberatori.
The two tracks will also appear as bonus material on a Japan-only CD featuring selections from Reale Accademia Di Musica’s recent albums Mutant Angels and Blades Of Light.
