Stick Men – Brutal (Iapetus, 2025)
Brutal, the new 25-minute EP from Stick Men, delivers five tightly focused tracks after a multi-year hiatus. This compact release offers a preview of an upcoming full-length album, expected in the fall of 2025.
Recorded and mixed with striking immediacy, the EP captures the progressive rock band’s current musical identity: rhythmically charged compositions, structurally complex, and performed with precision. Each track reveals the group’s signature elements: Levin’s commanding and mesmerizing stick lines; Reuter’s sculpted and inventive lines; and Mastelotto’s energetic hybrid drumming.
