Italian dark progressive rock band Witchwood has a new album titled Litanies from the Woods.
The debut album “Litanies from the Woods” includes ten tracks and is a well-balanced combination of hard rock, progressive rock, psychedelia, blues and southern rock with a dreary and vintage 1970s atmosphere. The instruments used include Hammond organ, piano, Moog synthesizer, flute, harmonica, and mandolin.
Witchwood was born from the ashes of the Buttered Bacon Biscuits, who released one album in 2010 titled “From the Solitary Woods.” The band played live as guest in Italy for Uriah Heep and Jethro Tull.
After the the Buttered Bacon Biscuits disbanded, some members of the band, Ricky (also in Witche’s Brew), Andy, Steve and Sam, joined with new member Luca Celotti on bass, to form Witchwood.
