Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA (CAP UCLA) in Los Angeles revealed the 2013-2014 Jazz season, under the executive and artistic direction of Kristy Edmunds.

The 2013-2014 jazz lineup is a collection of true masters of the form, anchored by an exciting new collaboration between famed drummer Jack DeJohnette, sax giant Joe Lovano, young bassist/vocalist/composer Esperanza Spalding and Argentine piano wizard Leo Genovese (Feb. 22).

Jazz also features a 30th anniversary celebration of one of the most important jazz trios of all time, Keith Jarrett, Jack DeJohnette and Gary Peacock (Sept. 28).

CAP will also present its second-annual collaboration with Angel City Jazz Festival and The Jazz Bakery for Dave Holland Prism and The John Scofield Überjam Band (Oct. 5).

The program includes an evening with saxophonist Charles Lloyd in quartet with Bill Frisell, Eric Harland and Ruben Rogers (Nov. 15).

Two evenings highlight exhilarating duo partnerships in jazz with Chick Corea and Béla Fleck (April 24) together again in Royce Hall. The two artists recorded a collaborative album titled The Enchantment in 2007. And an evening of emotive piano/guitar musical conversation from Fred Hersch and Julian Lage (March 9).
