Lost World Band – Spheres Aligned (2019)
Spheres Aligned showcases the masterful skill of progressive symphonic rock act Lost World Band. Originally founded in Russia, the material on Spheres Aligned was composed in New York and Moscow by multi-instrumentalist Andy Didorenko. Classical music meets golden era progressive rock and jazz-rock fusion as well.
The music on Spheres Aligned is progressive rock at its best: spectacular technique, beautifully orchestrated and with tasteful vocals that engage the listener. Unlike other acts in the symphonic rock category, Lost World Band does not deliver extensive suites, except for the final epic “I am the World.” Instead, the album features shorter songs, a type of exquisite mini symphonic works that are deeply satisfying.
The lineup includes Andy Didorenko on- violin, guitar, vocals; Vassili Soloviev on flute; Yuliya Basis on keyboards; Evgeny Kuznetsov on bass; and Konstantin Shtirlitz on drums.
