Bassist Tony Levin Announces New Photography Coffee-table Book

“Images from a Life on the Road” is the tie of a new coffee-table book from King Crimson bassist Tony Levin. The book contains 240 pages and 247 photos of 81 musicians who shared the stage with Tony in the past 4 decades.

The book presents a view unlike any other, of what it’s like being on the road with King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Sting, Peter Frampton, Stick Men, Levin Brothers, L’Image, Tony Levin Band, and others. Featuring photos of musicians such as Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Sting, Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, Manu Katchê, Terry Bozzio, Mike Portnoy, David Sancious, Jerry Marotta, Richard Tee, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, David Cross, Pete Levin, Mel Collins, Adrian Belew, Trey Gunn, Bill Bruford, Markus Reuter, Peter Frampton, Dave Spinozza, Mike Manieri, Chuck Mangione, David Sanborn, Bill Rieflin, David Spinozza, Jon Anderson, Jakko Jakszyk, David Rhodes, and many more.

The photos featured in the book are presented not as a history or a journal of tours, but as a journey itself: a visit to life on the road, with chapters of Travel, Backstage, Going On, Showtime, Bows, and there is an extensive ‘Index & Elaborations’ with stories behind the pictures.

The book edition will ship by the end of January 2021.
