The late Chick Corea posthumously scored two Grammy wins in 2021 for Trilogy 2, released October 4, 2019, in the categories of Best Jazz Instrumental Album and Best Improvised Jazz Solo for “All Blues”, featured in the Trilogy 2 double album.
Trilogy 2 featured Chick Corea on piano, Christian McBride on bass and Brian Blade on drums. “In every group that I work with, the fun factor is the number one criterion,” Corea said. “This trio is incredible fun. That’s not something you can dictate, but if that’s the experience then the music just flows. With Christian and Brian, we have a blast on the road.”
