Anders Buaas – Tarot (Apollon Records, 2021)
“Tarot” is the fascinating new concept album from Norwegian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Anders Buaas. Tarot” features 22 instrumental pieces. Each composition focuses on a card from the Major Arcana in the Tarot deck.
Although Anders Buaas is best known as highly reputable guitarist, on “Tarot” he plays various musical instruments, injecting the album with a wide range of musical influences, from deeply satisfying progressive rock and fusion to evocative folk rooted musical pieces.
The finely crafted music is full of symbolism and mystery, taking the listener on a “Fools Journey” through life.
“Tarot is also a wonderful collaboration between two artists. While Buaas created the music, visual artist Verena Waddell (Norway) designed 22 original paintings to accompany Buaas´ songs and the Tarot cards.
Anders Buaas plays electric and acoustic guitars, bass, mandolin, banjo, drums, percussion, glockenspiel, keyboards, and Theremin.
