Fraser Edwards - The Reckoning

Shredding Meets Americana: Humorous and Dazzling Guitar by Fraser Edwards

Fraser Edwards – The Reckoning (Self-Released, 2022)

British artist Fraser Edwards is a fascinating multi-instrumentalist, music producer, recording engineer and, most notably, a skilled guitar who can shred as well as any of the master electric guitar players. Fraser normally creates songs with catchy melodies, fast guitar work and humor. A case in point, his 2020 viral hit ‘Stop Saying We Sound Like DragonForce’.

Fraser took advantage of the pandemic confinement to make an instrumental guitar album titled “The Reckoning“. However, this is not a conventional rock album with lightning-fast shredding or metal riffs. Instead, Fraser makes you smile with his fantastic, enjoyable and zany concoction of dazzling guitar shredding, Americana and bluegrass along with electronic music (EDM) elements.

Although Fraser Edwards played most of the instruments, he is joined by a drummer and two additional guests who provide vocals on “The Harvest” and whistling on the bonus track “The Advernture”.

Fraser Edwards has worked with some of the biggest names in power metal, including DragonForce, Metalite, Axenstar and Dragonland.

Line-up: Fraser Edwards on guitar, banjo, bass, keyboard and orchestration; Andrew Scott on drums; Richard Carnie on vocals; and Calum Edwards on Whistling.
