The Lost Vision of the Chandoo Priest is a new musical undertaking developed by two well-known young musicians within the current Italian progressive rock scene: Francesca Zanetta (Unreal City) and Niccolò Gallani (Cellar Noise), the two are members of Milan-based symphonic progressive rock outfit Quel che Disse il Tuono.
Francesca and Niccolò are both multi-instrumentalists who skillfully use a mix of vintage and modern musical instruments on the self-titled “The Lost Vision of the Chandoo Priest.” The duo take the listener on a magnificent instrumental ride that masterfully incorporates mesmerizing progressive psychedelia (specially Pink Floyd influences), electronic music of the 1990s, finely crafted Scandinavian-style progrock and the innovative sounds of the neo-psychedelic movement of the past two decades.
A third musician appears on the album, Pietro Pellegrini, keyboardist of the iconic Italian progressive rock band Alphataurus, who recorded and mixed “The Lost Vision of the Chandoo Priest.”
