The instrumental album The Tripoint was crafted by VYÖNI, a project led by talented Norwegian musician, composer, and producer Kim-Frode H.Wøhni (b.1976). VYÖNI serves as a studio-based lab designed to explore a wide range of captivating progressive music sounds. Specifically, VYÖNI draws inspiration from various sources including finely crafted, early 1970s-style progressive rock, edgy contemporary jazz, engaging post-rock, Sami yoik rooted in tradition, and evocative, delightful cinematic landscapes.

Each instrumental track is exquisitely crafted and dynamically evolves around melodic themes and grooves, mixing improvisation with structured arrangements to create a truly unique musical experience. You’ll find mesmerizing, tranquil guitar and Mellotron passages along with higher energy pieces where the guitar and drums play a leading role.

Kim-Frode H.Wøhni plays guitar, bass, field recordings, keyboards, and programming, drums, Rhodes, Mellotron, clavinet, saxophone, vibraphone and strings.
