Parsons x Har Even x Ravitz, Three Minds Create Elegant Progressive Music

Parsons x Har Even x Ravitz – Parsons x Har Even x Ravitz (2025)

The Har Even x Parsons x Ravitz trio writes with the confidence of artists who have spent years inside rooms together. Claire Parsons shapes melody with a poet’s ear, her voice, and keyboards steering rich with emotion, skill, and nuance; Eran Har Even answers with guitar lines that think before they sing; while Ziv Ravitz sets the ground in motion, his elegant, inventive drums enriching the songs. Their masterful, astounding, self-titled debut album, Har Even x Parsons x Ravitz, includes an outstanding mix of contemporary jazz, folk elements, and progressive-rock architecture.

Parsons stands out as both vocalist and composer. Her vowels bend into meaning, and her keyboard voicings sketch rooms for the songs to live in. Har Even delivers captivating melodies with skill and brilliance. Ravitz favors cymbal charm and elastic pulse. The interplay sounds conversational, truly splendid.

“Hidden Spirits” opens with Parsons’ clear, nuanced vocals over piano while Ravitz paints in cymbal filigree, and Har Even’s guitar is dazzling virtuosic and inventive. “State Of Mind” builds patiently with emotive vocals and unhurried drums. The piece’s grand finale nods to progressive rock, through climactic electric guitar.

“All I See Is You” charms with its dreamlike combination of layered vocal harmony, light drums, and beautiful guitar that lingers like afterimage. “Two Steps Behind” pivots through time changes with sly precision that remind me of American band Infinien. The voice and guitar spar as equals before a compact synth solo and another prog-rock style build. Next, “4:15 A.M.” offers a delicate, exquisite song with vocals and guitar.

“I Changed My Head” turns the rhythm inside out. Ravitz’s intricate patterns appear beneath Parsons’ soulful lead, while Har Even shadows the line. The song culminates in an excellent, creative bass passage and closes with a joyful, playful passage.

“12 Steps” stages a sparkling duel between vocals and electric guitar. “Rumours” returns to delicacy, with Parsons’ voice floating over dreamy guitar figures. “R-I-S-E” closes on wordless melody and spoken reflection, along with soft percussion murmuring beneath.

All signs point convincingly to the fact that this deeply captivating album is one of the finest releases of 2025.
