Future Loop Foundation, helmed by producer Mark Barrott, joined Planet Dog in 1996. His work helped shift perceptions of drum and bass, mixing intricate rhythms with lush, layered instrumentation that appealed to listeners beyond the dancefloor. This approach positioned the project as a pioneer in transforming drum and bass into a format suited for home listening.

Barrott was also among the first in the genre to take drum and bass into the live arena, touring extensively across the UK and Europe during the late 1990s.

After his Planet Dog period, Barrott released six more albums under the Future Loop Foundation name before continuing his career under his own. His latest release, Everything Changes, Nothing Ends, arrived via Anjunabeats’ Reflections imprint in November 2024.
